    Unit 121
    In the spirit of Service, Not Self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security. Locally, the members of Unit 121 help with the various operations of the Post, combining with our peers to help raise money for Veterans programs and other charitable endeavors.

    Sons of the American Legion
    Squadron 121
    Founded in 1932, the Sons of The American Legion exists to honor the service and sacrifice of Legionnaires. S.A.L. members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership. Locally, the members of Squadron 121 help to raise funds for Veterans endeavors, run the annual 121 Christmas Tree Sale and Pig Roast, Healing4Heroes and more.

    he American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans. Locally, the membership of Henry Buikema Post 121 are involved in a number of charitable endeavors, including the Children’s Organ Transplant Association, Marine Corps Toys for Tots and other Veterans outreach programs.
